VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers from the local community provide many services for residents. Personal services include reading, writing letters, mending clothes, and serving as walking companions. Volunteers
assist with planned activities, holiday decorating, and spiritual services. They also make weekly rounds with books from local libraries and Glacier Hills' own extensive library.
Volunteers have been a strong and integral part of Glacier Hills for many years. They have received recognition and won awards from highly respected organizations such as the J.C. Penney Golden Rule Award for a local elementary school's Adopt-a-Grandparent Program.
Several of our volunteers have won the statewide Volunteer of the Year award from the Aging Services of Michigan.
