Eva’s House
Inside the Care and Rehabilitation Center is a special neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Eva’s House is a home-like residence where individuals with cognitive loss have the opportunity to thrive in a caring, nurturing environment.
Our caregiving team has been trained in the Best Friends™ Model of Care. The Best Friends™ Approach encompasses the familiar concept of friendship; the characteristics of a valued friend are also those of a valued care provider. Best Friends™ is founded on the core elements of respect, empathy, support, compassion and humor. Our caregivers develop special relationships with each resident ensuring that the person’s needs are identified and met and that each resident is thriving to their full potential.
The specialized Eva’s House team consists of a Memory Care Program Manager and Life Enrichment Coordinator who focus on the individual needs of people with memory loss. The team is rounded out by our RN Manager, social worker, and specially trained nurses and nursing assistants. Additional care and support come from Recreation Therapy and Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. This team approach ensures that our residents receive the care and support they will need throughout the progression of their disease.
At Eva’s House we accept the person for who they are and focus on interactions that will increase fulfillment and create joyful moments every day. Group and individualized programming is offered throughout the day based on each person’s needs, interests, and abilities. A day at Eva’s House may include a music class, art class, baking, a game of Domino’s, and a gathering to reminisce about the “old days”. Opportunities to attend outside events and programs are also featured. Most important for everyone at Eva’s House is to “enjoy every day”, making the most of each moment.
