Restorative Care
Glacier Hills' strong and successful rehabilitation program includes the core therapeutic services of
- Physical Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Speech Pathology and
- Occupational Therapy
Each disciplinary team is led by certified professionals with many years of experience restoring patients to their highest attainable level of function. Our therapists are on site providing therapy six days per week. The latest and most innovative techniques, equipment and methodologies are used in carefully designed individual programs. Our therapy suites have a kitchen, bathtub and non-working automobile for ambulatory functional practice. Another innovation is the design and implementation of our Clinical Pathways program.
Clinical Pathways are treatment plans with clear measurable goals designed for specific injuries and illnesses that often befall the elderly, such as stroke and serious fracture. The Pathways lead the way for residents to achieve and understand their own level of progress. Physicians, caregivers, therapists, family members, and the resident form the treatment team. They work together. Each condition-specific pathway (hip fracture, stroke and others) lets residents and families know what to expect and how to assess progress as it occurs.
